misfortune; bad [ill, hard] luck; 《文》 an adverse fate; adverse fortune. [⇒ふうん¹]

●非運に泣いた一生だった. Fate was against him all his life.

●身の非運をかこつ complain of one's ill luck [that fate is against one, that one is the victim of fate].
